Lloyd
Mandel’s recruiting philosophy is clear and concise. "The key to
Atlantic Management Resources success is our focus and dedication to placing
only Pharmaceutical and Medical sales and sale management positions." Lloyd’s
adherence to this belief has made him a leader in the staffing industry and the
successful founder of Atlantic Management Resources. His clients and candidates
alike recognize Lloyd’s commitment to their goals and his relentless pursuit to
help them achieve those goals.
Lloyd graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in
Business Administration. Upon entering the work force, Lloyd began his career
as a sales representative for Kroy Lettering Services. He found the challenge
of working with and selling to corporate leaders extremely rewarding. Having
won several awards both locally and nationally, Lloyd sought new challenges in
his sales career.
Joining D.S. Allen & Associates, a national recruiting firm
that specializes in placing sales professionals in the Information Technology
industry, Lloyd began his search career. He quickly realized the value of
market focus and began to concentrate his efforts on the Healthcare arena.
After five years of top performance, Lloyd decided to start his own search firm
that solely concentrated on this industry. Thus, Atlantic Management Resources
was born.
Founded in 1990, Atlantic Management Resources embodied Lloyd’s
principles of drive and dedication. During AMR’s years of growth, the company
moved from Cranford, NJ to Scotch Plains, NJ to our present Corporate
Headquarters in picturesque Warren, NJ. As a Senior Consultant, Lloyd leads our
team both by conducting searches and managing the recruitment efforts of the
entire staff. He is active in the recruitment and placement of top-flight
medical and pharmaceutical sale professionals.
During his free time, Lloyd enjoys spending time with his wife and
three children, coaching Little League Baseball, and playing golf and
basketball.
Owen joined AMR in October 2003. He was born and raised right here in the Garden State. After graduating from Rutgers College, New Brunswick in 1983 he entered a 20-year career in sales. Much of his experience includes specialty sales with three of the major big pharma firms (Parke-Davis, Roche, and Novartis) throughout the NYC/NJ area. He prides himself on knowing every diner, pothole and broken parking meter between Manhattan and NJ!
More seriously, his sales experience enables him to act as a credible liaison between our client companies and candidates— knowing what’s truly important to both parties in order to make the best possible match.
After more than 13 years selling to physicians, Owen decided that his current abilities were better suited to helping his fellow representatives in pursuit of their career goals. His experience helps act as a guide to fill the unmet needs of our client companies while providing our candidates with real world expertise in the pharmaceutical sales arena.
Owen’s interests and hobbies include caring for his young daughter, motorcycle touring, traveling/ sightseeing, and the sciences.
Barbara O’Rourke is our lead researcher. Barbara is responsible for
identifying potential candidates, contacting organizations, and maintaining a
strong line of communication with the markets she services. Barbara is renowned
for her ability to identify the best talent a region has to offer.
Having joined Atlantic Management Resources in the fall of 1997,
Barbara came to us with an extensive background in the corporate world. She
worked for several Fortune 500 companies with responsibilities ranging from
advertising sales to office management. Barbara combines her organizational
skills with her keen sales abilities to continually identify top candidates.
When not working, Barbara enjoys boating, gardening, community
service and visiting with her grandchildren.
David Moore is the most recent addition to our recruiting
team. Dave attended Rutgers University, where he was on academic
scholarship. He recieved a Bachelor's degree in Economics (with a focus
on international economics) and minored in psychology. While attending
Rutgers, Dave also worked part-time as a researcher for Atlantic Management.
After graduation, Dave began his career in outside sales as an
account representative for Moore North America, where he focused his best
efforts on providing his loyal customers with the best in document
solutions.
He has since returned home, if you will, and rejoins the AMR team
armored with a varied sales background and a motivation to aid us in fulfilling
our commitment to our loyal clients and canidates. Dave is focused,
driven, and has the expressed desire to help people find the opportunity that
is right for them.
Dave's hobbies include reading, writing, martial arts, and above
all else football! Dave is an avid Chicago Bears fan (probably the only
Bears fan in New Jersey).
Atlantic Management Resources is an organized and efficient work place thanks in large part to Isabel Brito. As office manager, Isabel oversees the day-to-day operations of our office, ensuring all information is conveyed to the appropriate people. In addition to her support responsibilities, Isabel is also our Web Site Administrator. She is in charge of updating postings, responding to e-mail, and making sure that our web presence is strong and clear.
Isabel previously worked in several medical offices and has continued her professional education at Katherine Gibbs. When not keeping our office in order, Isabel enjoys her leisure time by working out, dancing, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Juan
Mayor is a Senior Consultant for Atlantic Management Resources. Juan
joined our staff in 1993 as an Executive Recruiter and was promoted to Senior
Consultant in 1995. Working on assignments nationwide, Juan is proud to have
filled openings in every region of the country. He helps junior sales
representatives enter the pharmaceutical industry and fills senior management
positions with equal success. Tireless in his efforts, Juan is often found
manning the lines well into the evening. His accessibility is well known by his
clients and candidates alike.
As a Rutgers University graduate, Juan put his ceramic engineering
degree to good use. He worked as a manufacturing engineer in New Jersey and was
asked by his company to take a supervising position in Oklahoma. Having enjoyed
the technical aspects of his job, Juan decided to add sales to his professional
endeavors. As a sales engineer, Juan used his technical know-how and his
ability to communicate effectively to build a successful sales record. Juan
applies these skills to all his assignments bringing a unique ability to
understand and convey all aspects of an opportunity.
Juan and his wife recently welcomed their daughter into the world.
When not leading the busy life of a new father, Juan enjoys leading his USTA
tennis team as team captain and exploring the world of science on the internet.
Clinton Smith joined Atlantic Management Resources in 1999. He
came to Atlantic Management with a strong background in recruiting and
staffing. Having earned his Bachelors Degree from The New Jersey Institute of
Technology in Human Resources, Clinton put his degree to work at Seton Hall
University in their EOP Admission Office. From there, Clinton recruited for a
staffing agency that specialized in temporary and permanent placement of both
clerical and industrial personnel.
With several succesful years of executive recruitment experience and a scholastic background in Human Resources Management, Clinton was promoted to become the team's "Operations Manager." In this position, he completes the task of driving all back office activities. Clinton finds coordinating and managing this aspect of the business very gratifying, due to his capitolization on detail, candidate review/openings and organizational skills.
When not speaking with managers and candidates, Clinton enjoys ministry activities, spending time with his family, and listening to music. We are excited to have his experience and enthusiasm as part of our team.
